a second Rest Day (Kerrville to Blanco, Tx)

I admit it felt a little strange watching the ladies ride out this morning and not join them but I was VERY happy to be able to spend the day with Greg. We had a perfectly wonderful day.

We drove to Fredricksburg first to walk around and enjoy the sights in this cute little German town.

Next we went to the wildseed farm. They had acres and acres planted with wildflowers. Even though there has been no measurable rainfall in the area in 13 months they irrigate so we were able to see a beautiful display of bluebonnets and poppies.

Next we visited the LBJ Ranch in Johnson City. This is the schoolhouse he attended. It is on the ranch property

LBJ's headstone is the largest one. The flowers are where Lady Bird is buried. They do not have the headstone in place yet as she died just two years ago.

A change in tour leaders. Michele hands the reins over to Carol for the remainder of the trip.
