Spring in Arizona

Spring has definately arrived in Arizona. It is so warm that one could almost say that we skipped Spring and went straight to summer. It would be summer in other parts of the country if they had these temperatures but high 80's is Spring in Arizona.

My husband and spent last week in the Phoenix area while he attended a conference. I was fortunate to be able to do some sightseeing. I went to the Phoenix Botanical Gardens one day a took the following pictures:

Tuesday activity

I spent most of yesterday trying to log in to my my blog. I was switched from blogger to the new Google account. I just could not get in. Today I download Foxfire as my Internet browser and got in right away. Who knew?

I went to the gym early this morning and worked out with my trainer. When I say early I mean about 5:30. I meet her at 6:00 so I try to get a little something done in the way of a warm up. Today I used the rowing machine.

I have a 2 and a half hour ride today so I am going to head out soon. We are expecting a high of 85 today in Tucson. It is too early to be this hot already.

I will publish some photos later today.

The Countdown

I have made a commitment to bicycle the length of the Mississippi River. We will start in New Orleans and finish in Itasca State Park Mn. I leave for New Orleans to meat up with other women on the tour on May 8. It is a cross country bike tour along the Mississippi River for women only. It is a fully supported, five week bicycle tour, designed with women over 50 in mind. I have been training pretty regularly for several months now and will be stepping up my training in the next few weeks. I am going to make every effort to give you a regular report on my preparations.
